Ing-Ind/03 Flight Mechanics
The sector studies the aero-mechanical design, flight mission, manual and/or automatic control, and the flying qualities of vehicles operating in the air and space. These issues play a key role in characterising the safety and management of an aerospace vehicle and its mission. The skills of the sector concern the preliminary design, performance, stability, control, trajectory study and the human-machine interface problems of this class of vehicles. The methods of analysis and verification, carried out through modelling, simulation and experimentation, play a highly unifying and qualifying role in these themes.
